Week One - Preparation and Drawing
- The Introduction.
- Learning how to look and see correctly.
- How to simplify the shapes and forms of your subject.
- Creating preparatory drawings of the subject using positive and negative space.
- How to place the subject correctly on your canvas with a measured drawing.
- The creation of your preparatory drawing for the first oil painting.
- The rules of perspective and the use of a focal point.
- An explanation of the materials we use and why we use them.
